Life Skills for Teens
This program is designed to empower young people to gain independence and build confidence, and help them connect with their community.
During this program, participants will develop the basic skills needed to transition to adulthood or independent living. Topics will include: healthy living, nutrition/meal preparation, personal hygiene, domestic skills such as laundry and cleaning, shopping/budgeting, and social etiquette. Throughout the program, participants will have the opportunity to practice social skills with peers and develop friendships. Each week, participants will attend a centre-based learning session and a community based experience session, giving them the chance to learn new skills and practice them in a real-world setting.
This program can also be taught 1:1 if preferred by the learner.
